- Start the server and wait for the console to show SERVER STARTED.
- In Project Zomboid: Join → Favorites → Add. Enter your IP and port, plus the server password if you set one (Startup page).
- Choose any account name and password; Zomboid creates your character account on first join.
Admin: the Admin Password on the Startup page is for the user admin. Join with that name and password to get admin powers, or grant others with /setaccesslevel Name admin.
Build 41 vs 42: set Beta Branch (SRCDS_BETAID) on the Startup page to switch, for example legacy41 for Build 41, blank for the default. Reinstall after changing it.
