Minecraft Java: Getting started and connecting Print

Your server runs Paper (a fast, plugin-compatible Minecraft server) on the latest Minecraft version by default.

  1. Start the server from the Console. The first start downloads Paper and generates the world (about a minute).
  2. In Minecraft: Multiplayer → Add Server, then enter your address, for example 185.150.189.189:10001.

Everyone must be on the same Minecraft version as the server. To pin a version, set Minecraft Version on the Startup page (for example 1.21.4) and reinstall.

By ordering a Minecraft server you accept the Minecraft EULA; the server accepts it for you on first start.
