Rust: Wiping your server Print

Your Rust server uses an auto-wipe-capable setup.

  • Map wipe with a new seed: set Regen Server to 1 on the Startup page and reinstall or restart as directed. The server removes the files listed in Remove Files (map, player deaths, identities, states and some common plugin data) and generates a new seed.
  • Manual wipe: stop the server, then in Files delete server/rust/proceduralmap.*.map and .sav files for a map wipe. Also delete player.blueprints.*.db for a blueprint wipe. Start again.
  • To choose a specific map, set World Seed and World Size, or set Map URL for a custom map.

Rust's official forced wipe is the first Thursday of every month. All servers must update then.

Take a backup before wiping.
